Oak Haven 1827

Looking for the perfect place to get away from the fast paced life?  This hand-hewn log cabin offers a quiet haven to relax and recharge.  The original 2-story log structure was constructed in 1827 and features a cozy gathering room with a wood- burning fireplace.  Joined with additions that include modern conveniences, the living space totals more than 3,000 square feet.  This unique 4 bedroom, 3 bath retreat sits on 3 acres and is tucked against the hills just 30 minutes from Brown County State Park.

Relax out back and watch the fire dance in the outdoor fire pit. Calm, tranquil, quiet.

Henry David Thoreau said "Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing it is not fish they are really after." If it is indeed fish you are after, you are sure to catch plenty of stocked bass and bluegill in Oak Haven's private catch and release only pond. Or just sit on the dock and relaxt next to the calming water.

Accommodations are fully furnished and include desks, dining tables, and a piano. Kitchen offers a refrigerator, stovetop, small oven, microwave, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations. Recreational amenities at the cabin include a fire pit, horse shoe pit, a Blackstone Grill and pedal boat. The garage has outdoor tables and chairs for 20 people.
